Due to the genetic effects of Paulownia tomentosa, the MyKiri’s classic hybrid, this hybrid provides particularly high frost tolerance and a wide range of location tolerance. The cross companion Paulownia Fortunei ensures a straight and homogeneous trunk growth of the species.
In order to achieve the best wood quality, we recommend technical cutting in the second year of cultivation. Mykiri I is planted on a planting area of 4 m x 4 m (625 plants/ha). It achieves very high and reliable yields even in the warm regions. It is frost tolerant, up to even -28 ° C depending on age, cultivation, weather conditions and exposure.

MyKiri Elongata Selection
Paulownia Elongata ('oblong') is a fast-growing species with long and straight trunk which reaches a height of 28 m, which is much higher than those of the previous species. The width of the crown is average, suitable for 5m x 6m and 6m x 6m plantations. Due to its strong inflorescence, it fulfils an excellent bee-grazing function. Its frost resistance is - 13 - 15 degrees, which, taking the general warming into consideration, may be suitable for both Central and European plantations in addition to the tropical and Mediterranean climate!
